T-Sizzle.jpgOutstanding NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs attended Chandler High School before transferring to Hamilton High School, where he played for Chandler Sports Hall of Fame Coach John Wrenn.  Terrell graduated from Hamilton High in 2000.  He was named the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year, Parade All-American, and USA Today Arizona Player of the Year in 2000, and was ranked in the top 100 by all of the major high school prospect rating agencies.  He chose to attend Arizona State University over the University of Tennessee.  In three years at ASU, Terrell compiled an impressive stat sheet, accumulating 163 tackles, 44 sacks, and 14 forced fumbles.  He also set the ASU career record with 65.5 tackles for loss.  Leaving ASU after his junior season, Terrell was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft, going as the 10th pick overall.  An impressive rookie season led to Terrell being named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.  Numerous other awards and accolades have followed, including being named to five Pro-Bowls, and garnering All-Pro selections in 2008 and 2011.  By 2011, Terrell had become the Ravens all-time leader in quarterback sacks.  Playing beside future NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, Terrell helped lead the Ravens to the 2011 AFC Championship game.  After the conclusion of the 2011-12 season, Terrell was named the 2011 AP Defensive Player of the Year.  Terrell suffered an Achilles injury during that offseason, and many people suggested he would miss the 2012 NFL season after surgery.  But Terrell proved them wrong, returning in Week 7.  Though his numbers and performance were down, he got stronger every week, and helped lead the team to Super Bowl XLVII, played on February 3, 2013 between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.  The Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl, with Terrell recording 2 tackles and pressuring quarterback Colin Kaepernick numerous times.Suggs - Super Bowl Coin Toss.jpg
